APPLE TV 2 jailbroken. Is it possible to install apps thru windows???
Hi Guys,
I believe that I have succefully jailbroken my apple tv.
I did it with a mac and I can use winscope on windows to log into to it.
I want to be able to install apps into it but can it be done thru windows since I don't have a mac myself?
Please help!
Thank you!

I guess that might be what I need to do in the near future.

Plex is mac based, yes - but not NitoTV, it is installed directly on the ATV2

Any apps that you install should be done via SSH and "apt-get".
apt is the core framework of Cydia, and apt-get is a command line based installer.
Once you have NitoTV installed, you will have a Graphical User Interface that can be used to install packages to your AppleTV while waiting on Cydia to be updated.
Note: NitoTV's Package Manager explicitly calls out tested, useful AppleTV Applications, Appliances, and Tweaks.
It is generally a good place for people to get a feel of where things are going.

Hmm...pretty impressive. But don't you think running on windows is a little bit off since apple is naturally based on mac. Well, if anyone here can help you, that would be great. I am looking forward for your success. Lastly, can you show to us how did you do it...I mean jailbreaking your appletv.
