Default Windows Users and Apple TV

Im finding it very hard to do one main thing to my apple TV.

Im trying to add usb support and macking it the primary location to music films and pictures.

The plan is to purchase a 750gb hd and use that as my storage to play from and as a second location so if my PC dies, its on my apple tv

BUT im a windows man, i have linux at home but no MAC, and im struggleing to find any docs on how to add USB access and to have it as a primary device on my Apple TV

    Any help would be fantastic..

I have used the ATVusb creater windows version from here:
    atvusb-creator - Google Code

    so have boxee and hulu

    Thanks!

    ATVPatch.

    Thats fantastic, but 2 questions.

With me already patching and installing nitro ect with atvusb-creator - Google Code, will i have to do a factory reset?

Also with the ssh terminal commands (here patchstick - Use USB hard drive as primary storage) how can i enter them in windows?

    thanks
