If flashed my ATV with ATV Flash.....im able to FTP music files and video files to the ATV using windows WinSCP and also by using FTP in Ubuntu Linux.

Here is the problem. I want to install firefox on the ATV.

I FTP (tried windows and linux) Firefox.dmg to the applications folder on the atv.

I restart (cycle power) the ATV

I go to NitoTV and go to applications, and select Firefix, i click on it, and get a balackscreen. It just hangs.

Is this because im using windows or Linux to FTP apps to the ATV?
What am i doing wrong?

Try zipping the .dmg file first, then uploading with winscp, then unzip on the ATV. I know I had problems with .app .pkg files, and this fixed it. Good luck.
