VNC/RD Client for AppleTV
Stop me if this has already been made...
Frankly, I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet. My goal is to get my macbook screen either (a) mirrored or (b) extended onto my television via the AppleTV.
Mirroring the image is cake using a VNC client. I've read how to make the AppleTV a VNC Server, and use my macbook as a client. Let me be clear that I want to go the other way around.
Extending my screen seems like an impossible task, but since I was writing the post, it doesn't hurt to mention the possibility.
So does anything like this exist, do I have bad searching skills? Is this difficult to accomplish? I think it would completely change how I use the AppleTV because instead of streaming a video to it, I'd just queue it up in quicktime and press play!

VNC isn't meant for streaming video. The screen refresh rate and quality are very low, it'll look horrible.
