Text editor for windows
Is there a suitable text editor for windows?
I'm having problems with adding a line to rc.local which I'm pretty sure I have made worse by editing with notepad in windows.
I have ftp'd the file to my windows box and see a bunch of little squares (!). I removed those characters from the lines I had added but now it appears that they are control characters of some kind.
thanks
Paul

I usually edit files directly on the ATV.
Install Nano - AwkwardTV or Vim - AwkwardTV, make sure it is executable and then you can edit text files directly within SSH. Much less hassle than FTP.
Nano may even have already been installed by your patchstick if you used atvusb-creator and included the binutils package in the patchstick.
