    Default Spotify for AppleTV?

    Hi,

Is there any known projects going round Spotify (despotify?)-plugin for ATV?

I know about the Air Foil-trick, but this is far from the userfriendlyness IŽam looking for, and from what "Apple(hack)" is known from.

    Thanks in advance!

I really want a spotify plugin too.

I tried downloading the mac version of the spotify software, transferring it to the apple tv and installing it. This seemed to work fine. I could run the program via ssh command line but it ran in the background. If I killed finder I could see the spotify login page but finder kept restarting.

For someone who already knows how to make a plugin it should be very easy to write a spotify plugin.

Please do this - I'm sure there are lots of people out there who would appreciate this functionality.

I am running the Spotify OSX client on my ATV.

Using aTV Flash 2.4, Mobile Air Mouse on my iPhone to control it.

Install aTV Flash, enable USB and install Spotify via SFTP.

    Works fine!

    I have aTV 4.0.2 on ATV 3.0.1.
I have copied Spotify from my iMac to the applications folder of ATV but when I try to launch it from Nito, I get the silver apple and nothing else happens.

    Anyone can help with this?

    Thank you

    Wink

Well, there seems to be loads of intertest here !! And who can resist being able to have Spotify running through ATV...

Has anyone else been able to port or install Spotify on AppleTV?

    Anyone figured this out yet?
Selfish's method doesn't seem to work any more on the later software

Spotify's UI is excellent. Simplistic and uncluttered. Out Appling Apple right now.
Since I discovered Spotify, I won't touch iTunes with a bargepole.

    Default Same problem

I have the same problem. Only appear the silver apple. When I execute Spotify ,from command line, the next is displayed:

    Code:
    -bash-2.05b$ ./Spotify
    dyld: Symbol not found: _WebViewProgressStartedNotification
      Referenced from: /mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Applications/Spotify.app/Contents/MacOS/./Spotify
      Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/WebKit

    Trace/BPT trap
Sound like webkit must be updated..... Any ideas?

    Default Half Solved

As I said, there is a problem with the webkit frameworks. I downloaded this:

    http://builds.nightly.webkit.org/fil...SVN-r63355.dmg

and I copy the frameworks to /System/Library/Frameworks/

With this change Spotify works but the problem is when you restart the ATV the finder doesnt work:
    Code:
    -bash-2.05b$ ./Finder
    dyld: Symbol not found: _WAKViewFrameSizeDidChangeNotification
      Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/BackRow.framework/Versions/A/BackRow
      Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/WebKit
Again problems with the webkit framework.....

Is it possible to use different webkit versions at the same time?

    regards!!!!!
