    Default Some Help

Heres the deal, my brother wants to get boxee on his ATV, but since his in the ARMY he really doesnt have the time to mess around to figure out how to patch the ATV. I was thinking of compressing the documents that you get after u use the atvusb-creator and send it as attachment. So i gave it a try... downloades the attachment saved it to the usb but no luck when I try to patch the ATV. Can this be done? What do I need to do?

BTW, is there a patchstick for version 3.0?

atvusb-creator does more than store certain documents on the USB drive. It creates a specially crafted partition which is the boot drive and uses that. Truthfully, the easiest way to create a patchstick that installs Boxee or anything else really is atvusb-creator.

If you wanted to create a prepackaged file of some sort, the only thing that would really work is an image of the usb stick after it had been created. This would have to be an image of the entire drive, not just the partition.
