Hello. I live abroad and use a slingbox to watch my TV from the states. I have Apple TV and would love to be able to load my sling box player onto it so I could watch my sling box directly on my TV. Has anyone successfully gotten that to work? Would be grateful to learn how to do it.

I've tested the SlingPlayer app on the ATV and it runs, though I don't have a SlingBox to test it with... You'll have to have a VNC connection to control SlingPlayer, though, as there isn't an interface to use it with the apple remote. As long as you don't mind using your computer to remotely control SlingPlayer through VNC, you might be able to run it from the Application Menu plugin. Let me know if you need any more explanation.

What so you mean by a VNC? Does Apple TV (hacked to run OS X) not have full networking capabilities? Why would a VNC be necessary?

The setup I envision involves Slingbox Pro at a different home. Apple TV with OS X would run Slingplayer for OS X and hook up to an HDTV.

Also, since there is a keyboard and mouse hack for Apple TV, is a Bluetooth module available so that the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Wireless Mighty Mouse (both Bluetooth) may be used to control Apple TV running OS X?
