Should I upgrade my ATV?
I have my ATV hacked long time ago. It is the version of 2.0.2. Should I upgrade it to some modern version? If yes, which version should I upgrade to? Is it still hacked or I will do the hack again after upgrade?
Another question is, when I enter the "Software Menu" -> "Upgrader", ATV always hang up, how should I fix this problem?
Thanks very much

You can upgrade to the latest version which is available, 3.something. You will essentially need to do this through Apple's menus to initiate the update. You will not gain much in terms of features by updating, and a few plugins may not function anymore (most will). After the upgrade, you will need to hack it again, so back up anything you wish to keep on the main HD before doing the process.

Understood. Great thanks.

hi, I have had my ATV upgraded to v3.0.2, hacked with atvusb-creator, and XBMC works fine on it.
The only Problem is, i can only install XMBC through the extra "launcher" menu. But those previous functions, such as nitotv, all disappear. What should I do next?

Part of the update process removes any changes you made to the system. That is why you had to hack it again and thus you will need to re-install any plugins you once had.

I understood that I need to re-install all of the plugins. The problem is I cannot find how to do that... The only menu item added to the standard menu is "launcher" with 5 choices on its popup: "XBMC" "BOXEE" "Downloads" "Settings" "About". I can only install XBMC thru Downloads and nothing else.
