I recently opened my ATV 1st gen, and put OSX 10.5.8 on it. I no longer wish to run OSX on want to restore my ATV back to the original OS, as if brand new. I'm not having much luck. I'm hoping someone can point me to a tutorial, or explain himself how.

I found a torrent of the os boot today. Dont remember where but I couldn't post anyways. But search it up. I am not sure what I can do with just the osboot. But once I get a remote I'll try plugging it back into the tv. But i think an osboot should have the factory restore settings I just don't know how to get there without the media mount.

All you need is OSBoot, the media partition is not actually needed for any boot process.

In other words you can simply restore OSBoot to the drive as an image and should be able to boot from it and proceed from there.
