    Default Replace Frontrow with Backrow?

I use my atv to stream audio and video over my network. Recently I have retired the imac that had my media drives hooked up to it and replaced it with a linux box running a daap server(iTunes Sharing). This doesn't let me connect to my appletv however. The appletv requires you to pair it to all of your shares using a 5 digit passcode. Would it be possible to replace frontrow on the appletv with backrow? I've looked at alot of other alternatives too. Mythtv and NitoTv both require you to have your media library locally mounted. Would I run into performance issues if I tried to mount the shared drives and then would it be possible to add the media to frontrow without copying it to the local hard drive.

Unfortunately, they have different dependencies on libraries and frameworks.

They only way is to install OS X for Mac on it.

You can access your shared directories using smb on appleTV (with NitoTV).
