Newbie Question ATV2.2
Hey guys I'm new on the ATV world and I've being reading a lot lately about it, how ever i cant find an easy solution to way i need,, basically i want to be able to watch movies on DVD format, AVI, Xvid, ETC on my ATV which current OS it's 2.2
Can anyone point me on the right direction? BTW I'm using windows.
I asked same question while ago and nobody even bothered to answer.
All these people here have Apple Macs.
If you want to hack your Apple TV even if only replace hard disk you need to purchase Mac from Steve. But be careful with new aluminium Mac laptops because there are reports in iPhone group they block hacking iPhones and I bet it also applies to Apple TV hacking. No hacking with newer Macs.
my bullshit alarm just went off :)
There's no such block in place. Google is your friend and if you can't find any info, you need to improve your searching skillset.
yeah right good luck with your alarm when crossing railtracks
Passenger Bob you a funny guy :) But you don't know much about AppleTVs.
and you are dangerously funny guy because you think you know and misinform people
Let's run the numbers Passenger Bob and see who knows what.
1) atv-booloader. now used by all AppleTV patchsticks to handle the USB boot process. Created by yours truly.
2) Solved XvMC decode hangs on the AppleTV under Linux. me.
3) xbmc/boxee on the AppleTV, enabled by -- guess again -- me.
4) atvusb-creator. Soon to replace all patchsticks as the default free method to make AppleTV patchsticks. Oh yes, did that too. Just passed 30,000 downloads in the first 30 days.
So at least four major accomplishments, regarding the AppleTV, all requiring extensive understanding of the AppleTV hardware and software. Oh and an Apple Select developer for 15 years.
Now your contributions, opps, big zero there. Thanks for playing but I'm pretty sure I know what is going on regarding the AppleTV :)
guys chill all I asked was help for a newbie
