I bought a Apple TV this morning and im wondering what do I need to install to play divx movie and other format that iTunes dont read? Im new in this world of apple tv.

Hi and first of all welcome to the magnificent world of apple tv :)
To get started, i used this guide: http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Step_...les_from_a_NAS
Note the guide will say you need to create a patchstick on an intel mac, but some methods have proven to be easier. *cough*torrents*cough*
Note that this will only allow you to watch DivX (and pretty much everything else) from a network attached drive. If you don't have a network drive, and want the files to reside on the apple tv itself, then you need to enable the AFP server (see http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Enable_AFP_Server ), which allows you to access the apple tv from anywhere on the network, if you are on a mac.
