I know this post is a bit old, but I've just gotten an AppleTV to hook up to my slingbox for watching videos while I'm away from home. Thought I'd give this a test to see if the SlingPlayer app runs on the AppleTV and it indeed does. Just followed the guide from http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/How_t...yer_on_AppleTV and everything worked perfectly. My ATV was already modded with Nito, XBMC, and all the essentials. I can confirm this works with the most recent version of the ATV OS (3.0.2) and the most recent SlingPlayer for OSX 1.0.10.272.
I've been using it for a little bit today and do notice a few problems. I'm using my iPhone with the Remote HD app to control the ATV. You can use the keyboard to type in your slingboxes password. You can use command + F to get into full screen mode. You can chain the ratio with the command + 1,2,3,4,5. You can move the mouse around to select keep password in keychain. The issues seem to stem from the mouse. If you try to click anywhere else with the mouse the app will crash. All in all the app works quite well.
great post and thanks for the help. I got everything installed and running well, except for one important issue. I cannot figure out how to get/use the keyboard in Remote. I have it installed and connected, but cannot access it while in the Slingbox.app. I need to enter my Slingbox info in order to proceed.Quote:
