Patchstick Question: Mounting Media Partition?
I'm trying to add a /etc/rc.local via a patchstick, which actually resides on the Media partition (disk0s4). Whenever I try to mount it though, it fails.
If I mount it read-only:
/sbin/mount -t hfs -r /dev/disk0s4 /mnt
It says, "the volume on disk0s4 is read-only and journal is dirty. Can not mount volume" If I use the "-o force" option, same thing.
If I mount it read-write
/sbin/mount -t hfs -w /dev/disk0s4 /mnt
/sbin/mount_hfs /dev/disk0s4 /mnt
It says "mount_hfs: Resource busy"
When I run fsck
fsck_hfs -f -y /dev/disk0s4
it says, "The volume Media appears to be OK."
So does anyone have any ideas?
Well, it seems the only way I can get this to work is if I log into the ATV via SSH and do a reboot. I guess by simply pulling the plug, Media is left dirty, but the reboot closes and unmounts it properly.
So I guess the next question is, what is being done to make it clean, and is that something I can do from the patchstick on my own?
