I have looked all over the net and searched all over this forum. It looks like I'm one of few (if not only) with this error.

After SFTP'ing nitoTV Take Three folder (renamed to nitoTV3) and ssh in terminal I got this when running sudo installme command:

-bash-2.05b$ chmod 755 /Users/frontrow/nitoTV3/installme
-bash-2.05b$ sudo /Users/frontrow/nitoTV3/installme
tar (child): nitoTV.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Restarting Finder...

I'm struggling here. Any help would be awesome.

just install Softwaremenu as nitosoft explained - then use that to install nitoTV

wget "http://iscripts.googlecode.com/files/SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run"
chmod +x SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run
./SoftwareMenu-1.0b1.run

worked like a charm for me on 3.0.1

Thank you...I guess I didn't see these instructions anywhere but it worked like a charm.

what version of ATV are you running? I'm on 3.0.2 and I can't see to see Nito TV on the ATV. I followed the instructions, restarted Finder (via Terminal) and nothing showed up.

those instructions are to download and install software menu, from there you can install nitoTV.

been all day at this untill i finally found this thread thank you
