Hi All. I have been spending a lot of time over at the iphone forum getting my iphone up an running (successfully because of all the hard work of the Dev Team).

Some time ago I purchased an apple tv and was very pleased with the product/interface however was frustrated that it wouldn’t stream all my avi’s etc without conversion (slow and cumbersome). I decided to seel it and bought a Netgear EVA8000 unit which ‘kind of’ ok but clunky and without the real mac interface beauty. Anyway my question is: Is there a hack that will allow the apple tv to stream these other files. I spent a couple of hours searching through the forum but it wasn’t clear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes there is, check out the wiki at http://wiki.awkwardtv.org and look for NitoTV or either ATVFiles with Perian.
