    Default Lose the Pillarboxing

My Toshiba 32" CRT TV displays 4:3 AppleTV content with pillarboxing and 16:9 AppleTV content expanded vertically to fill the screen. Needless to say that this is not what I want. I've read that if my TV had the appropriate settings, I could fix this. However, it doesn't so I can't.

My 5G iPod plays these files (to the same TV) perfectly.

I did read (somewhere on the Web) that there is a plugin or configuration plist or something that, if I managed to drop whatever-it-is into the appropriate folder on the AppleTV's hard drive, will fix this problem.

I understand that this file would have to be removed if I jettison the 4:3 Toshiba for a widescreen TV but, for now, I'd be satisfied with this little hack (if I could ever find it).

Is there someone who has heard of this hack and, if so, might you point me to the download (or even want to PM me so I can give you my eMail address so you can send me the file)?

    Thanks in advance!

    Barry
