Hey guys i have been trying for months to install mac os on my dell with no success..so anyways i have windows 7 64b ultimate running..

i got an apple tv2 last week and tryed once to jailbreak it but it crashed so today i retried it wirh a 4.0 ipsw ..the last one somebody gave a a 4.2..

so anyways i used red snow to activate it and put it in dfu work good.

now i used snowbreez to fix the ipsw and loaded it in with itues..so it seems ok?lol cause there is now sign of a jailbreak..

so.now whats the next step?lol since im stuck with a pc i dont know if i will be able to fallow most of the jailbreak steps to add..??

We don't support sn0wbreeze here, that has been made very clear. Also thee is no public 4.2 jailbreak yet so don't play with that.

The first step after jailbreak is to SSH into your ATV2 and see if you can install anything via apt-get

im only on a windows machine.app-get is for osx or linux no?thats what i can see..

but is there any reason why i cant ssh into it?

it only needs to be connected wi-fi wright?i dont need to connect to pc like my ipod?

You may need to reboot it (with hdmi connected instead of USB) after you jailbreak it, as long as you have configured wifi on the ATV you should be able to connect via SSH

ya thats what i did..but nothing..before i disconnect it i reboot the device..or it shows the connect usb logo..
