Unhappy Leopard 10.6 on Old ATV

I followed the somewhat confusing instructions I found here (Mac OS X running on Apple TV) in order to try to install OSX on my old (White) ATV. I was able to remove the drive and was able to install OSX on it, but got stuck at that point.

I installed OSX on the "Media" partition, since the "OSBoot" partition didn't have any storage space for the OSX install (Hope this is correct?)

I'm new to this type of hacking and while I think I think I replaced the mach_kernel and the boot.efi files correctly, when I tried to run "bless" , I got a Terminal message as follows "Authorization required".

From here, I am stuck. When I connect the ATV to my monitor, the ATV boots the ATV OS and NOT OSX.

    Any help would be appreciated.

did you type sudo before the bless command?

    Code:
    sudo bless --folder=/System/Library/CoreServices --file=/System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi --setBoot

Thanks for the help! I'll give this a try and reply back. Will also spend some time researching the stickies and notes. Thanks again!

Default UPDATE-Leopard 10.6 on Old ATV

I was able to run the Bliss Command. When I reconnected the ATV to my TV, it looked like it started up with OSX. I saw the apple logo and pin wheel. After a few seconds the system seemed to reboot. It cycled through this 6 times and then reverted to starting up the ATV OS.

I have two drive partitions. One called "Media" (OSX installed on this one). The second called "OSBoot".

When I have this drive plugged into my MacBook, and restart, I boot successfully off this connected drive.

So now, I'm wondering if I don't have all the files in the correct directories. I feel like I'm really close to having this solved.

    Thanks for any help!

Snow is a no go on the AppleTV. Only boot I got was a partial where it got to blue screen then froze and refused to boot thereafter. Methinks it has something to the boot.efi. Waste of time and effort I promise.
