Default iPod touch as Sapphire remote

    hey all, me again.

I have been asked if it's possible to use a touch as a remote for Sapphire... I have the budget to endeavour on the project, but need to know if it's actually possible?

I imagine you'd have to link the touch to the appletv over wifi and have it update a local copy of the data folder structure regularly. When a movie is selected on the remote it would then have to send the right signals to the appletv over the wifi to play the movie.

is anybody interested in doing this for a fee?

    Thanks...

    Pete

It's very possible, but not likely with Apple's built in remote app. There are already several interfaces for remotely fetching data in beta 7, and it's possible to add more if necessary.
