Hi,
I've restore my apple tv. but I have some problems:

- I can restore with the 1.0, apple tv works but I can't update. The download looks good but when I want to update, apple TV restart with the 1.0.
- I can restore with the 2.2 update and the problem is the same.
- I can restore with the 2.3 or 2.3.1 update and the remote doesn't work. I can't switch the language.

Do you use the internal update mechanism? What do you mean with "restore"?
How can you say, that the download looks good?

The remote doesn't work in 2.3.x because there was a remote firmware update. The ir codes changed in some way ...

If you use osputil then you have to download the firmware files as well (hdmi and ir).

Factory reset: hold down "menu" and "-" on your remote. This will bring up the recovery mode. Just select factory restore. THIS WILL DELETE ANY FILE ON YOUR MEDIA PARTITION!

After that your ATV will boot the factory AppleTV version, eg. 1.0 or 1.1 or even some 2.x os.

Then do not patch your ATV, just run the update via menu.

Please help cant update software from 1.1 keep getting installation failed...
