    Hello,

just google for project patchstick, you will find everything you need. You donīt have to open anyting. A few very very basic Unix skills would be good. But even without those, there are enough website telling what to do.

    Good Luck

Hey there I followed the longform instructions. Got AppleTV to boot up from my stick, and then some things died when it tried copying over bits. Not sure which bits, but something croaked. I did see SSH & Kerberos went through and I can ssh into my ATV box now. However the ATV doesn't seem to be any different - no AwkwardTV menu or anything like that.

    1) Do I try again and make sure my launch.d bits don't have any typos?
    2) Is there a way to get what I want onto the box now that I have SSH and avoid the Stick. Point me where to start there.

Ultimately the goal was just to open up other media types.

Also since I see a file structure there, where do I find the files ATV has on it, and can I just add files that way?

And finally is there a quick primer on what i need to do to write my own Hello World type application for AppleTV?
(EDIT: Sorry, found it here: http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/FRAppliance_101)
