    I just tried booting the Jonms image on my laptop and I see a message about range not set (correctly??) Would that be the reason for the low sound??? And Vodoo??? What is that about..

    Finally, I had time to created a 10.5.5 installation with working sound via component out. Currently I'm uploading it to rapidshare. As the image is 6.6GB, it will take a while ;-)

    Do you mean the optical out? If yes, I don't know if it works as I didn't try it. But regular stereo sound over component out works fine.

    Btw, the upload will be complete at the end of the week.

    Yes, i meant optical digital which would alowed me to use my stand alone DAC (digital to analog convertor), and get a little bit better sound quality than through ATV’s component, which was my idea of buying this ATV on the first place.
    BTW, does you HDMI work, I mean soundwise?

    No, sound over HDMI doesn't work as the driver doesn't support that feature.

    FINALLY: I've uploaded a new 10.5.5 DMG with WORKING SOUND (Look at the first post on the top).

    Default ccc over the network

    Hi,
    I downloaded your last image 10.5.5 and I want to install it on the internal disk of the appletv, maybe in the media partition.
    I do not have the connectors to take the disk out from the apple tv.
    I saw in CCC the option to install over the network, what do you think?

    Never tried that feature.

    Maybe this would be better:
    * copy the dmg to the ATV via AFP or SMB, eg to ~/Downloads/ (on the media partition).
    * Then connect to your ATV with SSH and mount the dmg
    * Use "cp" and some command line switches to copy all contents of the mounted dmg to the media partition
    * IMPORTANT: do not overwrite anything!
    * bless the media partition
    * reboot

    I always install to usb, make a dmg out of it and then boot from the usb disk. From there I use Disk Utility to copy the dmg to the media partition. The important part here is to not select "erase target disk".

    Default Safari crashed

    Hi, I'm running 10.5.5

    does anyone have any issues with safari crashing?
    It starts loading pages but suddenly crashes.
    It also happens with Chrome.
    Maybe a Webkit.framework problem?

    Any thoughts?

    I don't have any problem running safari on my 10.5.5 installation. Do you use my ideneb 10.5.5 image or did you install it from scratch? You could try to download webkit from The WebKit Open Source Project - maybe this solves the problem.
