Full Apple TV Image to restore HDD

HI there,

i have ruined my Apple TV with Patchstick 2.4 and i have tried all instructions i have read here, but after reboot it always patches the system again.

So i Am also not able to update to 2.1

Today my warranty is over and i want to upgrade my hdd.

Could someone please send me the whole image of all partitions of an original apple tv? I could restore the image to my new bigger HDD and put it back in the case.

Would be great if someone could help me

COOL !!.. But 36GB Could you please drop the media partition.
36GB will take days, and might not get it down before seeders are gone.

Or someone else make it.. I am on a PC and the closest I have come to do a full restore, was getting the apple logo instead of the AppleTV? sign..

You can also buy a Restore disk instead of downloading the 30 Gig image.

Where do you want to buy a restore disk for an appleTV?
It doesn't even have a dvd drive

Finally after 3 weeks I was able to restore my AppleTV.
Using Ubuntu + alot of patiens and trial and errors.

I have made a MUCH smaller install image. Less then 200mb, instead if this STUPID full size release..

This restore image is based on 2.0.2 and all you have to do is DD it to an empty HD.
After that do a restore/recovery from within AppleTV..
Made from a 60GB hd, but just restore and ignore any errors. Only the first 2GB, the rest is the Media partition,
and AppleTV will recreate that on a restore..

Should take a few hours or so to complete instead of weeks(if ever!!)...

Let me know if it's not working ? Have tried on 2 zero'ed HD.
