Hello,

I cannot access the awkwardtv forums at http://forum.awkwardtv.org/ ... I have a "server not found error", and I was wondering if I was alone... Or not.

Thought it was just me. They mention a previous DNS problem on their main page (Yes, that is quite old, like April of Last year) and it may have happened again.

yeh we have had little luck contacting those at moofspeak that are responsible for the forum upkeep so we may have to move awkwardtv operations to another forum, its a shame because all the useful posts at that forum will now go to waste unless we can get the dns fixed

That's very sad!! As you say, there is so much information on that forum... Hope you will be able to get it back!!

Does anyone have a copy of tvcomposite_ntsc.tar they could post somewhere? Every link I've found points to forum.awkwardtv.org, and it sounds like it might be down for a while. Thanks!

i put up the pal and ntsc archives as they exist on the forum,

you need to grab both just like in the instructions on the wiki and then replace the binary in the kext in pal distribution with the binary that is in the ntsc one.

forum is back! much to the surprise of most of the community on the news that the hard drive crashed on the server machine, but its back with all its old content!

i dont know 100% of the specifics of why it went down, but one of the original administrators of the whole project that still pays attention from time to time (macTijn) has informed us that his backup crontabs broke before the last crash and they would delete a backup after 30 days, so he doesn't have any backups of the old forum. he created a brief post about it on the awkwardtv.org main website AwkwardTV

tomcool (the developer of SoftwareMenu and Overflow) has created a new forum where i advise any member of the prior awkardtv community to sign up for (some of us will still provide support here as well of course, but this forum is going to be the replacement for the original, and now dead forum)
