Well, I don't know the interero of MacOS X. But I wonder why there are so many interface/backrow framework changes. In each release there are new classes, old ones are gone or renamed. Is this the ways, apple programmers do their job?
Or do they just want to make the plugin developers angry?

Overall, I think, that the AppleTV was made by Apple!

What makes you think, that the software was made by someone else? What style doesn't match?

yeh i dont really see any evidence to the contrary, why would apple outsource work for a project that is a "hobby" and isnt one of their main cash cows? doesn't make any logical sense. dont really see how it doesnt fit their style either i think it is very stylishly laid out and the setup of their frameworks pretty much fits their development style to a T.

re: changing. moving, deleting classes. yes this is how they do their jobs, and i dont think it has anything to do with making our lives more difficult (maybe slightly, but doubtfully an overall motivation) There is a pretty standard rule that if you develop with PrivateFrameworks, nothing is a certainty and everything and anything is subject to change without any notice whatsoever, as far as apple (or any other developers) are concerned, PrivateFrameworks are buyer beware, you can spend a lot of time working with them only for them to completely up and disappear or change in the next version, its just the nature of the beast.

I know the software was not outsourced, but I mean, the interface is clean and easy, just like everything, also, the hardware is 100% Apple Style, it looks awesome in my room. But, there are some details about the software that I don't like, for example, if you are listening to music, and try to purchase something, the music stops, even after purchasing, the music won't start again. Also, when going into setting the music stops playing, but if you go to settings first, then play some music, and then you press the menu button to return to the settings, music continues playing... That was not so Steve...

I mean, there are some other details, just I think software is Great! but not perfect as other products. Basically, you have a computer there, we could get more juice from it, I mean, I am happy with it, and I highly recommend purchasing it, but there is so much more that can be done with such hardware, brand and the powerful OS it has!

    That's my opinion.

Yes, you're right. The AppleTV could be much more. But I guess this will never happen. Otherwise it would have happened already.

Well, I must say we got an opportunity. This quarter the Apple TV sales were 3 times bugger than the last year quarter. Maybe Apple takes this in mind.

I think the reason its not perfect (buggy) is because they have basically officially referred to it as a "hobby" project, i think the problem with sales figures is they don't have a big profit margin on the hardware of the AppleTV but make more money from the subsequent itunes sales from said AppleTV, since this community is basically a wash with regards to that they probably don't care much about the business we bring them, unfortunately.
