Discuss Cannot Launch XBMC/Boxee From path:? at the AppleTV 1 - Hackint0sh.org; Im pretty sure this is my fault... here's what i have and what i did. ...

    Default Cannot Launch XBMC/Boxee From path:?

    Im pretty sure this is my fault... here's what i have and what i did.
    atv flash 4.0.6
    Apple firmware version 3.0.2 (might be my problem,Maybe i need 3.0.1) just received ATV from ebay and it was version 2.0.
    Launcher ver.3.2.2
    So i did the atv flash correctly LOL i didnt have a flash drive so i tried my card reader but it needed power, so i used my camera dock station in usb mode and it worked all extra menu's came up on reboot and everything
    I installed the Smart Installer.
    I then went to XBMC/BOXEE/downloads and downloaded XBMC 9.11,Boxee alpha 0.9.14.6992, XBMC svn r27705,these were my only options.
    So i dont know if its because i have firmware 3.0.2 and i might need to downgrade or wait for atv flash to update their firmware.
    Is there a way i can ssh and install these manually?

    You need the absolutely most recent launcher, not the stable release.

    Support for 3.0.2 was added to launcher 2 days ago

    Look at TestingRepository - atv-xbmc-launcher - HowTo get to testing versions - Project Hosting on Google Code for instructions on how to do this.

    Don't pay for atv-flash, it is comprised of software that is free and you should not have to pay to pwn your apple tv. You will get a lot less support for an apple tv patched with atv-flash on this forum.

    Finally, don't randomly install every item listed under this menu. I recommend you only install the stable XBMC as the SVN changes every day and may not work as you expect.

    some reasn atv went into console mode? might be cause i tried patchstick from usb camera in usb mode imma go buy a flash drive today.i restored it back to stock ill try again tonight.

    I have done a patch stick with a usb memory card adapter. I don't think this is your problem.

    As I mentioned, I don't support or trust atv-flash. You learn a lot more by doing this the free way.
