Hey guys, is it possible to add bluetooth to the Apple TV? Could you use something like this "D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adapter" and then use the Apple bluetooth keyboard insted of a wired keyboard?

yep, you can use a usb dongle with a bit of hackery -

well, the only bluetooth devices i've had to test are an old palm zire 72, a nintendo wiimote and my motorola e815 mobile phone. but i would think it would work, as usb keyboard+mice have been working as well.

i've forgotten to add it to the bluetooth page, but to get a usb dongle to work you'll need to use the usb enabler patch from turbo's site as is explained in the first page of this page: http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Enable_USB_Storage

Hi,

I've just hacked my new appleTv with Take 2.0.2 software and now I'd like to use it with a keyboard or mouse and is it possible with a wireless/bluetooth.

does it works with Take2 software:

is there another method to connect a mouse or keyboard? I've read something about IRkeyboardemu but I don't know how to install.

Brandon's IRKeyboardEmu is for Hackint0sh Computers as they don't have the Apple Remote to control the FrontRow interface.

This app will simulate the presence of an Apple Remote and let you use your computer's keyboard as a remote.

Has anybody been able to get this to work with take 2 (2.3 specifically). It worked in 1.0 and 1.1. I have tried all of the posted instructions in the Awkward TV wiki..but it seems to hang when loading the bluetooth prefpane

Anyone get it working with 2.3.1? I have a mighty mouse and keyboard along with a Linksys USBT100 blue tooth adapter. I cannot get the bluetooth to show up in system preferences. I even got Bluetooth setup assistant to show up in applications, but when I try to run it nothing happens. I got firefox working from the applications menu.

Any suggestions? tried the wiki stuff from 1.0 put seems to be different now with 2.3/2.3.1
