Question Best modifications for AppleTV . . . suggestions

    Hi everyone,

I just bought a new AppleTV which leaves me with my original AppleTV. Right now I have it hooked up to a spare monitor in my den and was toying with the idea of hacking it. I've tried some modifications in the past and have found the machine to be unreliable. Is it worth it to hack the ATV? If so, what are the most useful modifications to make?

    I find the atv1 hacks 100% necessary.

The basic ATV1 patchstick and things like nitotv's smart installer don't make your system any less reliable, just more functional.

Some hacks might be out of date/no longer apply to your ATVOS version, or are incorrectly applied. This can cause reliability issues.

My only issue is that sometimes my remote stops responding, a reboot fixes this. I'm not yet sure why.

I have XBMC launcher, software menu, nitotv, overflow, plus quite a few other hacks/tweaks installed and they all work fine.
