ATVFiles on 3.0.2

I am trying to find the best way to view movies through an external usb drive.
I tried NitoTV .9 it gives me the following:

Empty Folder! The folder is empty or has no files with supported suffixes

I tried to install ATVFiles twice through Software Menu: 3rd Party.....
However twice the ATV goes black......
Have to force a restore to get back my screen........

Your next alternative within the ATV interface is Sapphire.

Just tried Sapphire....... ATV doesn't "see" the drive..... or any files

for some reason SoftwareMenu still installs a version of ATVFiles that isnt compatible with 3.0.2
I had the same problem - screen stays black
found out that you dont have to restore - just ssh in and delete the ATVFiles frappliance

you need to get the latest ATVFiles beta and install it manually via ssh

does your drive show up when you ssh into the ATV and do a "mount" ?

what file system does it use ?

for some functionaliy nitoTV needs an OS.dmg in Documents and Smartinstaller run sucessfully

So where are these ATVFiles frappliance, I can't seem to find them.
