AppleTV OS dd image required - broken appletv
Required: DD image of original appletv os
I do not have a mac to restore dmg files so a dd would appear to be the easiest way (as per the larger hard drive instructions)
My unit got it's partitions damaged by macdrive when trying to make the ssh hack.
Unfortunately I cannot even factory restore.
I require the full 'dd' of the drive image, I've tried multiple .dmg files from piratebay and demonoid but to no avail.
Could anyone assist, I release that the dd image itself maybe huge(40GB) but also know that aside from 2 core partitions there would appear to just be free space so it should zip down nicely.
I can provide upload space or plain old snail mail should the image fit on severeal dvds etc.

Here you can download my ATV 1.1 recovery partition: recovery.dmg.zip - Wuala, social online storage
Uploading my whole 160GB disk image would be too much.

As I've mentioned many, many times, you don't need a disk image.
You can re-create the entire contents of the internal disk using any AppleTV OS dmg. See ATVBackup - atv-bootloader - Project Hosting on Google Code ->Opps I did not make a backup. You don't need a Host Mac either as 7zip can extract the required files from the dmg.

The guide is quite complicated. Maybe for most of the people it's just easier to dd an image to disk and then let the recovery manager repair the damaged drive.

That is of course assumes that one has a disk image in the first place
