I have 6 apple tvs. I use most of them for digital signage....however movies won't loop. I called apple and they told me, "Wow, what a good idea. We should have thought of that."

Does anyone know how I can make movies loop (repeat)?

I asked the very same question at this forum some weeks ago.
To use Apple TV in a professional environment, as I would like to, one aboslutely positively needs the loop function. In fact the function to loop an entire playlist.
I do hope Apple will build it in the next/first Aplle TV software update/upgrade.
Just as much as I would appreciate a feature or an application that would allow me to sync 15 or more Apple TV's to (the same) one single iTunes library (I know it's possible to sync a maximum of 5/6 Macs to one Apple TV).
However, for professional purposes - Yes, Steve, a great Apple TV-market too - I need it the other way round...)
BTW, Is there a chance that anyone from the Apple TV development team reads these postings?

I have found a way to play a movie several times.

Open your movie in Quicktime and save it as reference movie, then open this reference movie and in the progress bar you must drag the "out" marker to the right at the end of the movie.

Then copy/paste (Apple C , Apple V) the number of time you want your movie to be played. Save and you've got a lightweight reference movie file that will be readable in your AppleTV (i'm using the AppleTV files plugin, i haven't tried to sync it with iTunes).

Anyone figured out how to get the ATV to loop files in a playlist?
This has been kicked around a bit but so far no real solutions have been found for digital signage solutions

nitoTV has a playlist loop function, any playlist can be looped. if you wanted to loop an individual file you can just put one file in a playlist and have it be a repeating playlist.

Does any one know if the latest update, Apple TV 2.2, will allow looping playlists?

I would like to load around 20-to-30 short video files onto an ATV and run the them on an infinity loop.

If this is possible on the latest update, can someone tell me what the transitions between files looks like.

I need to have smooth transitions such as a clean cut or a dissolve between the two files. It can't look like a glitch when one file finished playing and the new one starts.

Small scale digital signage is the intention.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have not found a way to loop numerous video as a playlist on the Apple Tv. Everybody seems to not understand the issue - WE CANNOT LOOP Video. I do not want to reference a video numerous videos with different resolutions, nor do I want to create an 8hour continous video. Has anybody looped video clips with Apple TV 2.2?
