Apple TV & Flashing ? after Reassembling Unit
Anyone else experience an issue where you've upgraded the HD to a larger drive (160 GB in my case), everything works great until you try to put the unit back together and you see a flashing ? on boot up?
I was able to update the software on the new drive to ATV 2.0 and sync over all my stuff from iTunes with all the new storage space. When I mount the drive to the bottom plate, the unit will not boot and gives me a flashing ? on the TV screen and cycling between the amber light and white light on the front of the unit. Taking the drive back off the mounting plate and running it open reboots fine. I don't feel like running my newly upgraded Apple TV upside down with the bottom plate off.
Anyone else see this before? If so, any recommendations on resolving this one?
Thanks for any suggestions

It's one of two things. 1. The screws may be too tight or 2. The case of the drive is not meant to be grounded to the ATV. Try putting rubber or some kind of insulator material between the drive and bottom of ATV before attaching the screws.

Re: Apple TV & Flashing ? after Reassembling Unit
Ok. I finally figured this one out. My HD ribbon cable had the connector slightly pulled loose and was causing intermittent HD connection failures. Re-crimped the cable and seated it tightly and now everything boots fine while put back together.
Thanks for the suggestions.
