Default Aiport Extreme + aiport express + Video = AppleTV ?

    hi,
I was just wondering if this sounds realistic:

wouldn't it be great if the AppleTV acted as an Wireless-n access point with a USB-port (like the new Aiport extreme Base station) ? Also, It could act at the same time as an Aiport Express, streaming audio to its Audio output, and even video to its video outputs!

I was thinkng about this while i was looking for an wireless access point with airtunes AND a USB-port to connect an external HD to. The AppleTV seems to have all the hardware for this, but not yet the software support...

    Is anyone working on this?

    greets

    (sorry for my crappy English!)

You can always glue the three of them together though !

Anyways yes I've thought the same as you but I guess Apple is better off having you buy 3 pieces of hardware and making money in them 3 than just one. And if you add OSX to the mix with bluetooth support you've got yourself the ultimate htpc-router (well if they actually clock the CPU high enough to be able to play 720p mkv's)

Of course Apple wants us to buy all 3 pieces, but the hackers at Hackint0sh perhaps won't i hope there's a hacker interested in finding out if all this is possible...
