[Advice] ATV4 Patchstick 2.4 install fails
I'm out of ideas. I'm trying to install the 2.4 ATV4 Patchstick, and while it does boot linux, it stops with a failure message after "searching for patchstick.sh". I've been scouring the web for hours searching for any hint on this, and the website's wiki doesn't contain any helpful clues about this problem.
After failing to find patchstick.sh the ATV then starts telnetd and I've been able to log in using root/root. Trying to find patchstick.sh myself I notice that it's not in the root fs, and that there's a script that tries to mount various disks to look for it on there. Mount reveals this:
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)
tmpfs on /var type tmpfs (rw)
Okay, so... cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name
8 0 39070080 sda
8 1 34816 sda1
8 2 409576 sda2
8 3 921596 sda3
8 4 37573000 sda4
8 16 247040 sdb
8 17 246989 sdb1
sda is the internal drive, sdb seems to be the stick. Fdisk says this:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 31 246989+ af Unknown
Partition 1 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(1023, 254, 63) logical=(0, 1, 39)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(1023, 254, 63) logical=(30, 192, 34)
Of course, when I try to mount it...
# mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/rootfs/
mount: mounting /dev/sdb1 on /mnt/rootfs/ failed: Invalid argument
So... yeah. patchstick.sh is probably on that partition somewhere, judging from the script find_run_script.sh which tries to mount all available partitions and looks for patchstick.sh
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The only version of Patchstick you can install for now is the version 2.2
There was a problem between the 2 admins on 06/24
For now they split and the other admin took with him the version 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 and also the download server that prevent any version after 2.2 to be installed.
Please have a look at atvpatch.com for more info.
You can also have a look at the website of the other admin who will launch also another version of Patchstick : atvmod.com
