I have a friend who has two AppleTV's. Apparently after a storm the other night, both units have been acting up. He did a factory restore on each, but the problem persists. What happens is that both units seem to keep rebooting the Finder. The menu disappears, Apple logo comes up, a few seconds later the menu reappears. A few seconds after that, the process starts over.

What's odd is that he says, hacked or not, BOTH units are doing the same thing. I disabled ripstop and watchdog on one unit, but that didn't help. Both are at 2.0.1.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I recently had an AppleTV in a continuous reboot loop, I ended up pulling the drive and recreating the drive using: http://smallnum.blogspot.com/2008/02...m-scratch.html this tutorial and the version 2.0.2 software and I am now happily using my ATV again!
