Default iPhone 4S 5.0.1 No Service (BBSettings Toggle)

Hi everyone, my Sprint iPhone 4S 5.0.1 suddenly has a no service indicator where Sprint usually would be. I toggled 3G in BBSettings and now even when I try to toggle it back on it doesn't work. I've tried resetting network settings but the problem still persists.

So basically, until a fix for the toggle comes out, my only way is to edit some plist or something. Does anyone know where to find the .plist where I could change cell service = true or something to that effect?

    Thanks.

What version of the JB did you use? This could be a problem with launchctld if you jailbroke with redsn0w 0.9.10b1 or b2. Let us know. I hate to say I don't know the .plist entry, but someone else may.

Ah, yeah I neglected to notice you said 4S. Only tool for 4S now is Absinthe.

I'm assuming you've tried the simple fix of toggling Airplane mode and toggling Cellular Data? I know the 4S does not have the 3G toggle (beyond that, you're on a CDMA network so you're not using 3G anyways, I don't recommend trying to use the toggle again in the future if you get this fixed) so you can't directly toggle that, but have you attempted to toggle what is available? I can't imagine you didn't but felt I'd ask anyways...

I tried that but it didn't work.

However, I have fixed it now. I toggled everything into the off position, except airplane mode, and then Reset ALL Settings. Upon the reboot of the device, service was restored. Uninstalling SBSettings for now o_0

Note: This only happens on GSM serviced phones (Verizon/Sprint NOT AT&T)

Good catch with the fix and I appreciate you taking the time to follow-up to let us know what fixed it. I think SBSettings is safe, but the 3G toggle modifies a plist for a setting that doesn't even exist on the CDMA iPhone4 and 4S, so it could be that was part of the problem more than anything else. Have you had any other issues with SBSettings? It's such an integral part of my jailbreak I don't think I could not use it, even if I had to be careful to remove specific toggles.

SBSettings is fine, but I don't like how it goes over the notification center. So, I got toggles for the notification center itself. Much smoother, at least to me

There is a way to make SBSettings act as though it's a widget in notification center, works about the same as the toggle method you used. Just enable it in your Notifications settings in settings.app. That said, if you're fine without it, no reason to complicate things!

Oh really? I didn't know that, thanks! I like SBSettings, I'll disable the 3G toggle and try that.
