I too have a tx2517, but mine is a cl. I'm not sure what the hardware differences are. I found this forum one day while looking for xp drivers for my hp media center pc. "icchansan"had apparently installed os x on his. I was motivated by his work to do the same. I was successful and loved os x so much that I bought a macbook pro. The macbook fell off of a table monday and I was forced to dust off my tx2517cl (currently running ubuntu) and start to use it again.

If you are as motavated as I am to get os x on the tx2517, I think we can help each other out. I do not claim to be an expert but I do alot of reading to figure things out.

I will start posting my progress on this forum. Please don't let folks on this forum intimidate you into giving up before you start. Your question is very simple. Can you load os x on a tx2517? the short answer is yes, but there are issues with drivers that have not been worked out.

I find that "icchansan" is an excelent resource. He has been extremely helpful to me thus far. If he says it is possible then I would believe him.
