Step 5 is "Applied VoodooPS2 update" but I got confused and figured that was some different kext and so figured I'd jump to step 7 "Installed all kexts according to my guides". I did that from the essentials package and as I was waiting for the restart, I found that VoodooPS2 was in the installer packages.

Anyway, booted up and after a flash of blue background, my screen goes grey with a lot of dashed lines in 2 bands: 1 about a third of the way down and the other, narrower, almost at the bottom. Needless to say I'm fubared.

So, to start all over again as wingzero did in post 265. Here are the steps:
1. Re-installed iDeneb v1.3.
2. Patched everything with UInstaller.
3. Restart.
4. Applied 10.5.8 update combo.
5. Applied VoodooPS2 update.
6. Restart.
7. Installed all kexts according to my guides.

I'll download the 10.5.8 update combo and keep it handy. Now to start over since I screwed up.
@calibre97: You are actually not FUBAR'd if you reach that messed up gray screen. You can actually recover from that. When you reboot, hit the enter key when it asks you to hit any key which will take you to the command prompt, then type in "-x". This will boot you up in safe mode where you can go in and remove the GMA950.kext from System > Library > Extensions folder. That's why you are getting that gray screen. Hope this helps.
