All retail Tiger discs were PPC, no Intel or Universal , there were Tiger Restore Intel discs that were shipped with MacBooks and Macbook pro and other intel models.

Unless you can find the Tiger restore disc for the specific model that you have,if its not too new, you are stuck with Leopard.
