Default How difficult is this? Beginer article? Time commitment?

I bought a gaming PC desktop in 2001, then a mbp when core 2 duo came out. Now with windows 7 actually looking really good, i've decided my next computer will probably be a desktop running windows 7

I'm looking for a quiet PC that can handle games.
It must be asthetically pleasing to impress any women who will likely only see the outside and maybe hear / see the wmp at work.
It would be cool if it was "green" with it's power usage.

Those are my top two criteria.
But then I thought about hackint0sh and how cool it would be to run both windows 7 and snow leopard.

And shoot if I'm doing partitions, I guess I shhould add Linux too.

But I'm new to this- is it worth the headache and time?

How smoothly does this run?
Can I update the windows 7, snow leopard, and Linux as updates come out?
Can just let the operating system handle the updates? Or do I need to rehack stuff any time I want to change anything on any operating system?

How much time will I be spending doing this?
As someone who hacks his iPhone and still doesn't completely understand bootloaders (I understand the concept of partitioning but I have never done it)...

Are there problems with:
Usb?
EHD?
What formats is the hard drive in? Does each partition have it's own format?
Ntfs? Or hfs+?
driver issues?
Internet connectivity issues?
Networking issues for a home network?

I'm trying to think of all of the problems that might arise before attempting this or bailing and finding another solution.

TY
