Default APN Changer on 3G: I'm missing something

Hi all,

I have a problem with an iPhone 3G on AT&T in the US.

Previously, I jailbroke/unlocked the iPhone 2G so that I could pop in a legit AT&T SIM card so that my wife could use the 2G as a phone and wifi device. We have no need for her to access AT&T data since everywhere she/we go there's wifi. So I went to the APN Changer website, and installed the Fake APN profile. Worked like a charm on 2.2, 2.2.1 and 3.0...on the 2G iPhone.

I got the 3GS for myself, and handed off my now jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 3G for her to use. Went to the APN Changer website, went through the steps...thought it worked...and now am seeing on my AT&T account page that I'm still getting charged for access to EDGE data (I turned 3G access off).

I've advised her to be sure that there's a wifi connection BEFORE opening Mail, surfing the web, etc. And yet am still showing that there's data being used through AT&T. I've gone through the APN Changer website TWICE now, and it shows that the profile being used is the "Fake APN."

What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I am not "Mr. Command Line" or anything like that. I've simply used Pwnage Tool and redsn0w to jailbreak/unlock (used ultrasn0w on the 3G), and it's worked flawlessly. I have no idea how to "SSH into the iPhone" or anything like that. However, if there's a tutorial page/link you could post, I'd check it out. I'm using Macs.

Anyone else with this issue, or can anyone offer any advice? Thanks for any help you could offer...
