ok so i just bought this iphone off of my friend. it already had cydia and installer on it but when i used them it just didnt work . Anyways i just popped in my rogers sim card which is on minutes and it was working fine, until......

itunes recommended that i get the latest software update which i did
and now my phone is in some wack mode and where the restore button usually is it says "please insert a supported sim card" something like that.

so ive been doing alot of research because i hardly know anything on this topic and i'm pretty sure i need help, .

it was a 2g iphone using 2.2.1 until i updated it
