I have an original first generation IPhone(2G) running on 1.1.4. I used pwnage to unlock and activate it last year. I want to upgrade to the newly released 3.0,

1. Can I upgrade directly from 1.1.4 to 3.0 using pwnage/redsnow 3.0?
Or
2. Do I have to upgrade to 2.2.1(or 2.0) before use pwnage/redsnow 3?

Please suggest me.
