Can you use software update to update to 10.5.6 straight away with having to mess around with scripts and what not? Im sure i saw it in this thread somewhere. I'm using iAtkos v5i which you recommended.
Also, which icon set are you using on the picture posted on the tutorial?, i like the disc icons
