i just got my i-smartphone v2.2 sim today from china as i order is for v2.2. it come with a black packing and a hologram sticker with serial number on top, check this on website found is genuine, then i try put in to my iphone 3g v2.2 baseband 02.28, but it show a while for the telco name then it go to no service. i have try with another sim card , but it show the same result "no service" i have try 64k, 128k sim card tested with more then 5 sim card, all same result. this to confirm that i-smartphone sim solution not work with iphone 3g v2.2. below is the sim and version i tested

iphone 3g 8GB Black (Lock to Australia)
Network : Malaysia Maxis, Digi, Celcom
SIM Card Tested : 64k, 128k
