I had to get a replacement and just try to be more careful... even so, I could feel it catching. And since it would get the NO SIM error and had me constantly swaping it into another phone, it seems that it is only a matter of time till it tears again.

The new virgin sim Im testing seems to have a copper strip at the bottom to combat this problem... lets see how it holds up.
I mentioned all that in the other sticky. It will hold up, but don't push your luck. New iPhones have very tough SIM connectors. It gets stuck in the SIM connectors. It's hard to remove and insert actual AT&T sims. The solution is to insert/remove 20 times the sim card (not fully, just push/pull a few times). Eventually, the connectors get soft. Then you can insert the sim adaptors with no problem.

The virgin sim will hold up, but it will bend, and you'll have to press with pincers to get it straight again if you don't get those connectors lose.
