I hate Apple too, for one main reason. They don't give a rat's ass about what the customer wants. Want to put some awesome yet unapproved apps on your phone? Too bad. Want to purchase an unlocked iphone at a higher price? Tough luck. You get their little sandbox to play with and thats it.

That being said, in my experiences, Apple products are the easiest to set up, use, and maintain, and the user interfaces are beautiful without being excessive. Take Vista for example, Aero 3D is pretty nice looking, granted, but what purpose does it serve? With Leopard, there are just as many visual effects, but they don't distract you from what you're trying to do.

On a semi-related note, I was done waiting for Apple to release a mini notebook, so I just picked up an aspire one (winxp). You can get one for $350 at micro center and it just blows all other netbooks out of the water. You can also install Leopard . Highly recommended. (and no, I don't work for acer, just a satisfied customer...blah blah blah)
